Currently it operates both as an Iwi-Māori Partnership Board and a new commissioning agency for Whānau Ora services within Te Waipounamu. About YouThe Head of Funding, Monitoring and Performance leads the investment and funding strategy, contracting, service performance monitoring, and system accountability functions. This role provides high-trust, evidence-informed advice to the Kaihautū. It supports the strategic engagement of Te Tauraki with Te Whatu Ora, Te Puni Kōkiri and other relevant Crown agencies in commissioning contexts.
Through a deep understanding of commissioning, this role ensures that funding decisions and performance insights reflect whānau voice, improve outcomes, and enable equity for whānau Māori across Te Waipounamu. The Head of Funding, Monitoring and Performance also leads and empowers a high-performing team to deliver clear, timely, and meaningful information to internal and external stakeholders, hold productive relationships with contracted service providers and ensure sound contract management, monitoring and performance.
As the Head of Funding, Monitoring & Performance at Te Tauraki, you'll lead strategic investment, commissioning, and performance monitoring to transform health and social outcomes across Te Waipounamu. This senior leadership role empowers you to shape funding decisions through whānau voice, build high-trust relationships with Crown agencies, and champion innovation rooted in mātauranga Māori.
