We are seeking a seasoned and highly capable Project Manager to lead the delivery of key initiatives within our evolving work programme. This pivotal role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects that reflect the strategic direction and cultural values of Ngāi Te Ruahikihiki ki Taumutu.
You will oversee end-to-end project management, developing scopes and budgets, coordinating work plans, reporting on progress, and ensuring outcomes meet the needs of our rūnanga, whānau, funders, and partners. The Project Manager plays a lead role in integrating governance, risk management, stakeholder relationships, cultural integrity, and health and safety across project delivery. The role also supports funding proposals, reporting, contractor management, and internal collaboration across Pou. He Kōrero Mōu / About YouOur ideal candidate will haveExperience leading complex projects from planning to close-out. Financial literacy including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven ability to lead teams, manage contractors, and make confident decisions under pressure. Familiar with workplace health and safety legislation and risk mitigation. Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools. Strong organisational and documentation capabilities. Respectful of tikanga and mātauranga Māori, with a willingness to engage and grow cultural confidence. Commitment to upholding the mana and aspirations of Ngāi Te Ruahikihiki ki Taumutu. A full and clean NZ Driver's Licence is required. Pre-employment checks may include a ministry of justice, police, and security checks as required.
