The successful applicant will be highly motivated, a team player. The Teacher Aide will be joining our primary team and will work during the term time only, prior experience working with primary aged children is preferred.The successful applicant must be flexible, committed and a good team player. They will also have the necessary skills to work successfully with children, parents, staff and the overall ACG philosophy.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide in-class support for the studentsAssist the students to achieve their learning goalsAssist the teacher to write the student’s IEPAccompany the students on school trips where necessaryWork co-operatively with the teaching staff and assist them as directedMaintain communication with the teacher about the students so that the teacher may communicate directly with the student’s parents/guardiansMaintain confidentiality regarding the students at all timesTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:The ability to relate to, and build trust with, young people who have additional needsThe ability to communicate effectively to provide information, assistance, and instructionExcellent interpersonal skillsTo be flexible in working arrangementsHave a professional and warm mannerThe ability to remain calm under pressureTo be able to work independently and as part of a teamSAFEGUARDING STATEMENTInspired Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment.
