Teaching Assistant (TA)

Position DescriptionThe Teaching Assistant (TA) will support faculty in delivering quality education and assist students in achieving their academic goals. Responsibilities include aiding classroom instruction, providing academic support, and performing administrative tasks related to course delivery as assigned. Key ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist faculty in preparing presentations, and course materials such as Blackboard shells, handouts, tests, or assignments.

Facilitate labs as assigned and perform general organization and setup for labsProvide support to students by answering questions, tutoring, and holding office hoursGrade assignments, quizzes, exams, and other coursework in alignment with faculty guidelinesMaintain accurate records, enter grades and attendance ensuring compliance with institutional standardsCommunicate effectively with students and staff to promote a collaborative learning environmentQualificationsQualifications: Completion of Engineering Technology associate’s degree. Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree to assist in an associates degree course work (or actively enrolled in a master’s degree to assist in bachelor’s degree course work) at Zane State College.
