A Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a strong assetExperience: At least 1 year of experience working directly with children, preferably in a childcare setting with children up to 12 years of ageCertifications RequiredStandard First Aid with CPR Level CSatisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police CheckProof of up-to-date immunization for TB, Tetanus, and MMRSkills & CharacteristicsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsKnowledge of “How Does Learning Happen?” is an assetCommitment to confidentiality, flexibility, and minimal supervisionAdvocacy for diversity, equality, and inclusionKey Responsibilities:Collaborating with staff to deliver age-appropriate programs that foster cognitive, physical, social, cultural, and emotional developmentSupervising children and ensuring a safe environment by proactively identifying and addressing potential hazardsApplying consistent behaviour guidance in line with UFCC’s Child Care Centre Program PolicyAssisting with daily tasks such as organizing food carts, disinfecting tables, sweeping floors, and managing laundry as neededCommitment to AccessibilityWe are committed to providing accommodations in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
