Role DescriptionThe Teaching Research Specialist is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and evaluation of research initiatives aimed at improving teaching methodologies, learning outcomes, and educational programs. This role bridges academic research and practical teaching applications, providing data-driven insights that enhance curriculum development, instructional strategies, and educational effectiveness. The Teaching Research Specialist collaborates with faculty, administrators, and educational teams to ensure research initiatives are rigorous, relevant, and aligned with institutional goals.Key Responsibilities:Conduct research on teaching methods, learning outcomes, and educational best practices.Design and implement studies, surveys, assessments, and data collection strategies to evaluate instructional effectiveness.Analyze qualitative and quantitative data using appropriate statistical and analytical tools.Prepare research reports, publications, and presentations to communicate findings to academic and administrative stakeholders.Collaborate with faculty and instructional teams to translate research insights into actionable teaching strategies.Support curriculum development by providing evidence-based recommendations for course design and instructional improvements.Monitor trends and advancements in pedagogy, instructional technology, and educational research.Assist in grant writing, research proposals, and funding applications related to teaching and learning projects.Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines, institutional policies, and data privacy standards in all research activities.Facilitate workshops, seminars, or training sessions to disseminate research findings and promote effective teaching practices.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating the impact of teaching strategies and interventions.Qualifications:Master’s degree or higher in Education, Educational Research, Psychology, or a related field.2+ years of experience in educational research, teaching evaluation, or instructional design.Strong research skills, including study design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation.Proficiency in statistical software and data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, R, Python, or similar).Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting research findings effectively.Knowledge of contemporary teaching methods, pedagogy, and instructional technologies.Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, administrators, and cross-functional teams.Attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to ethical research standards.Curiosity, initiative, and a commitment to improving teaching and learning outcomes.
