Team Lead - Data Center

We are establishing a new data center in Blönduós, Iceland, designed to support the next generation of digital infrastructure.Our mission is to deliver secure, reliable, and sustainable IT services that empower innovation and growth. As part of this journey, we are seeking an experienced Data Center Manager/Team Lead to join the team onsite.Role OverviewYou will be at the heart of our operations, responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing the critical systems that keep our data center running smoothly, as well as overseeing and leading the team onsite. You will work on cutting-edge infrastructure, ensuring uptime, efficiency, and security, while contributing to the successful launch and ongoing operations of our new facility.Key ResponsibilitiesTake technical ownership of the center environmentTake an active role in growing and leading the team on-siteAssist with installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, storage, and networking equipment.Involvement in the implementation and overseeing of cooling, power, and environmental monitoring systems.Managing cabling, racking, and equipment layout in compliance with best practices.Ensuring adherence to security, safety, and compliance standards.Collaborate with IT, facilities, and project teams on infrastructure planning and scaling.Qualifications & SkillsProven experience in a data center, IT infrastructure, or network engineering role.Previous experience in a leading, management or supervisory roleStrong knowledge of server hardware, virtualization, networking, and storage technologies.Understanding of data center environmental systems (power, cooling, fire suppression).Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and follow best practiceStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailWhat We OfferOpportunity to be part of a brand-new data center projectCompetitive salary and benefits packageProfessional growth with training and certification supportA collaborative, innovative, and supportive work environment with access to skills & resources from established data centers across EuropeFor any questions, contact Lucy on l.whiting@tenthrevolution.com
