Team Lead - Packaging

Role OverviewOur Biopharmaceutical client is looking for a Packaging Operations Team Lead to oversee daily packaging operations, ensuring production schedules are met, resources are coordinated, and team performance is optimized. This role includes people management, process oversight, and cross-functional collaboration to support product launches, validations, and inspections.Responsibilities:Lead and manage packaging technicians and shift leads, including coaching, development, and performance reviews.Ensure timely execution of the packaging schedule and escalate issues as needed.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Quality, Warehouse, Engineering).Represent Packaging in key meetings and report on KPIs (e.g., schedule adherence, changeover performance).Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and GMP standards.Ensure training records, SOPs, and batch records are current and compliant.Support equipment maintenance and calibration in partnership with Engineering.Contribute to validation activities and documentation.Promote lean manufacturing and Right First Time principles.Mentor team members in operational excellence and high-performance behaviors.Participate in hiring and onboarding of new team members.Support strategic packaging initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.Perform administrative tasks such as deviation investigations and MES exception closures.Requirements:Strong leadership and organizational skillsExperience in GMP-regulated environmentsProactive, team-oriented, and adaptableCommitted to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
