In this dual role, you'll not only take ownership of the accounting for selected European entities but also lead and support a team of accountants responsible for other entities across Europe.You thrive in a hands-on environment, enjoy mentoring others, and bring a solution-oriented mindset to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Your experience in international accounting and statutory compliance will help drive operational excellence and support strategic decision-making within our broader Finance organization.What will you do?As Team Leader, you'll take the lead in ensuring financial excellence across several European entities. Your role will combine hands-on accounting expertise with people leadership and cross-functional collaboration. More specifically, you will:Own the accounting activities for the selected European entities, ensuring accuracy and complianceEnsure timely and correct closings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basisOversee statutory compliance, including local GAAP, VAT, and tax filingsCollaborate closely with the entire Finance team, i.e. Finance Support, Controlling, Treasury, Compliance, and Audit to support business growth and informed decision-makingOptimize accounting processes and contribute to automation or digitalization initiativesSupport internal and externa audits, ensuring timely and accurate responsesLead, coach and coordinate a team of accountants, fostering a culture of ownership, development, and continuous improvementRequirementsWho are you?You hold a degree in Accounting or Finance or a related fieldYou have at least 7 years of experience in accounting, ideally in an international or multi-entity environmentYou have a solid knowledge of general accounting principles, consolidation and statutory reportingYou have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial dataYou have proven leadership skills and experience in coaching and managing a teamYou have a hands-on, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindsetYou can prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentYou have experience with SAP Business One and advanced Excel skillsYou have a mindset of continuous improvement and openness to changeYou are fluent in Dutch and English.
