Working alongside another Team Lead and reporting into the Auckland Planning Manager, you will become a pivotal member of the team. A key part of your role will be providing pastoral care, development support, and leadership to up to eight direct reports. You will also operate as a Principal Consultant, with a focus on project delivery and client relationships.ResponsibilitiesAs a key member of the planning team you will have a range of responsibilities including:Providing leadership to your team, which consists of Graduates through to Principal Consultants, enabling them to achieve excellent client outcomesCultivating, maintaining and expanding SLR’s client relationshipsSupporting the Planning team to achieve financial targets and play a key role in achieving office specific targetsPlaying a key role in the delivery and management of policy and/or consenting projects for clients.Undertaking technical and peer reviews of reportsWorking collaboratively and efficiently with the Auckland Planning team and the wider SLR teamSkills And ExperienceYou will also possess the following skills:A professional qualification in resource management planning or other relevant degreeObtained or working towards full NZPI membership15+ years' experience in planning and resource managementExperience as a mentor and coach to other consultantsStrong client relationship management skillsDemonstrated experience working in multidisciplinary project teamsEffective communication with colleagues and clientsStrong commercial acumen and ability to support building our client baseStrong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables on competing timeframesOur BenefitsWe are proud of our unique culture where we work together to collaborate on projects to get the best possible outcome for our clients.
