Together, we’re not just shaping brighter smiles, we’re unlocking the potential of people everywhere, including our own.We are looking for a Team Lead, Product Development, to guide an interdisciplinary and motivated team of Product Development Engineers shaping the next generation of Straumann Dental Implant Systems (SDIS).This newly created leadership role offers you the opportunity to shape not only the future of our products but also the team culture and innovation mindset within Straumann Group.Your Responsibilities Lead and support a team of Product Development Engineers (approx. 4 people), cultivating an inclusive, collaborative, and psychologically safe work environment. Translate the R&D strategy into clear priorities and achievable goals. Foster creativity and innovation while maintaining focus on effective delivery. Encourage open communication, shared learning, and mutual respect within the team. Mentor and develop your team members, helping them grow in their roles and careers. Act as technical lead for complex, cross-functional projects, ensuring compliance with design control processes and regulatory standards. Continuously improve our Product Development Process together with the Head of Product Design & Development. Oversee documentation (DHF) according to GDP standards and coordinate design verification, validation, and transfer activities.Your Profile - QualificationsEducation Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.Professional Experience First leadership experience, ideally fostering a motivating and supportive team culture. 7+ years of experience in medical device development or another regulated field. Strong knowledge of design control processes and relevant standards (MDR, FDA, ISO, ASTM). Proven track record in managing complex product development projects. Experience working in international and matrixed environments; global experience is a plus.Personal Attributes Empathetic and confident leader who encourages others to thrive.
