We believe in the power of collaboration and innovation to drive positive change.Position Overview:The Team Lead of Social Department is responsible for implementing Pikala’s social vision by leading its social programs, ensuring their efficiency and impact, and advocating for cycling as a transformative tool for sustainable urban mobility. This role involves managing an operational team across two cities (Marrakech and Agadir), overseeing social initiatives, and working closely with decision-makers to enhance Pikala’s influence in Morocco’s sustainable mobility landscape.Key Responsibilities:Strategic and programmatic leadershipDevelop and implement the social department’s strategic plan aligned with Pikala’s overall vision.Ensure the effective execution of social programs, including bicycle training, awareness campaigns, and community engagement initiatives.Strengthen Pikala’s research and advocacy efforts on sustainable mobility to reinforce its positioning as a key actor in the field.Oversee the department’s budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and financial sustainability strategy.Monitor and evaluate the impact of social programs, proposing improvements and innovations.Team and Project ManagementLead and manage a team of four staff members, ensuring clear objectives, motivation, and professional development.Organize team evaluations, feedback sessions, and capacity-building initiatives.Foster a collaborative and supportive working environment within the social department.Hiring and trainning of team membersAdvocacy and Stakeholder EngagementRepresent Pikala’s social department on a national scale, advocating for cycling as a tool for sustainable development.Engage with policymakers, urban planners, and civil society organizations to influence policy and promote cycling-friendly initiatives.Build and maintain strategic partnerships with local and international stakeholders in the fields of mobility, urban planning, and social entrepreneurship. Your Profile Strong methodological knowledge of project management, including planning, execution, and impact assessment.Demonstrated experience in advocacy and policy engagement, particularly in the field of sustainable mobility, urban planning, or social development.Understanding of the social business landscape in Morocco and experience working within it (minimum 3 years of relevant experience internship counted).Experience in social project execution, including event planning, community management, and public engagement.Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in motivating and guiding teams.Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, from grassroots communities to government representatives.Ability to represent Pikala in high-level discussions, conferences, and public engagements.Passion for sustainable development, mobility, and social entrepreneurship.Ability to work independently and take initiative while ensuring alignment with Pikala’s strategic goals.Creative and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to adapt to evolving challenges.Strong command of Microsoft Office tools, like Excel and Powerpoint.Proficiency in Arabic, English and French is required.Application ProcessInterested candidates should submit:A CV detailing relevant experience and qualifications.A cover letter explaining their motivation for joining Pikala(Optional) Any supporting documents showcasing past work in project management, advocacy, or sustainable mobility.Please send this over to hr@pikalabikes.com
