AASI complements other Australian aid investments in Solomon Islands and aligns with the SINDS.AASI (Service Order 4) is managed by DT Global on behalf of the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), under the Australia Solomon Islands Program Support facility (ASIPS). This includes strategic and annual planning, key stakeholder engagement, and management andleadership of a diverse program team of technical specialists, consultants, and national staff todeliver the program effectively, and strategically.Click on the link or copy paste it to access the full Terms of Reference for this position: https://shorturl.at/m9VdbAbout YouSelection CriteriaYou will need to have the following:Qualifications Master's Degree (or equivalent) in education, international relations/ development, and/ or project management or related discipline. PhD preferred.Essential Experience And Knowledge Demonstrated experience leading diverse teams of national and international advisers, including experience in overseeing Australia Awards and grant programs, and collaborating with tertiary education institutions such as SINU to strengthen scholarships delivery and academic partnerships, with experience in providing independent and strategic advice to DFAT; Demonstrated knowledge of Australian tertiary education systems, including how scholarshipsare used in the development context, and practical experience engaging with regional universities to align scholarship programs with development priorities; High-level relevant technical, management, and facilitation skills, and experience in thedevelopment and implementation of practical and useful implementation frameworks,including experience in program management (annual planning, MERL, budgeting, human resource management, and reporting), with proven ability to apply these skills in tertiary education settings; Outstanding analytical and written skills, in English, with experience producing high quality reports and other documentation for policy- and development-focused audiences, including reports on tertiary education capacity-building initiatives; Proven organizational skills and attention to detail, with ability to prioritise own workload, work effectively both independently and as part of a team and deliver quality outputs within agreed timeframes, particularly in complex education program environments.
