This position ensures that interventions, programmes and steps are put in place for each tamariki and rangatahi to effectively address underlying trauma, health needs, criminogenic and behavioural issues, to ensure a successful transition from the residence.The TLCP will effectively lead the case leader team, by ensuring the development and delivery of high quality services, support and advice to managers, staff and key stakeholders. This includes providing oversight to ensure input from a range of stakeholders involved in designing and delivering programmes and services to Tamariki and rangatahi.Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bringKey requirements of the role include:A comprehensive understanding of the impact of trauma across the lifespan Supporting staff to ensure they have a better understanding of tamariki and rangatahi's needs and are aware of the support services and resources that are available to address these. A Masters level qualification in psychology, education, nursing (mental health) or social work Proven experience in working with health practitioners and education providers to ensure high quality therapeutic services Experience in leading a team in a clinical or therapeutic setting Excellent interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills A practical background in process planning for efficient service delivery Contributing and supporting national and regional service delivery performance and practice improvement initiatives An ability to anticipate and resolve problems and make decisions based on risks Demonstrated evidence of ability to commit to the vision, mission, and goals of Oranga Tamariki Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices, knowledge of tikanga Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi / The Treaty of Waitangi, and how these help us be more responsive to support tamariki, whānau and families A full, current, clean driver licenceNōu te rourou | What's in it for youOranga Tamariki offer an impartial remuneration package, that offers progression annually for experience through tenure.
