Company Description WestCASA is a community-based, not-for-profit organization providing sexual assault counseling services across the western metropolitan region of Melbourne. Committed to supporting victim/survivors of sexual assault, WestCASA aims to facilitate healing and recovery while addressing societal issues related to sexual violence. With a vision of creating a world free from the fear of sexual violence, the organization plays an essential role in advocacy, education, and direct support services in the community. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in the Greater Melbourne Area for a Team Leader for the DPFC Team at WestCASA. The Team Leader will oversee team operations, provide leadership to staff, and ensure high-quality service delivery. Responsibilities include supervising and supporting team members, facilitating staff development, coordinating case management activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and contributing to collaborative community efforts. The role also involves engagement in program evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Leadership and team management skills, including the ability to support, mentor, and guide staff effectively.Experience in case management, counseling, and supporting individuals affected by trauma, particularly in the context of sexual violence.Strong organizational and coordination skills to oversee programs and services while adhering to organizational objectives.Proficiency in program evaluation, reporting, and contributing to continuous service improvement.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with staff, clients, and community stakeholders.Familiarity with trauma-informed practice and a commitment to values aligned with supporting recovery and advocating for systemic change.A relevant qualification in social work, psychology, or a related field (a postgraduate degree is an advantage).Previous experience in a similar role and a demonstrated understanding of the issues surrounding sexual assault will be considered a strong asset.
