Role PurposeDirect team operations group to achieve Cost, Quality, Health and Safety objectives. Execute the plant plan objectives at the tactical level focused on continuous improvementKey ResponsibilitiesExecute operating plan to achieve team objectivesProvide immediate supervision to subordinates to execute assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policiesReview team performance with team members at regular intervalsBuild effective relations with plant support groupsConduct hourly/direct labor employee performance reviews and provide coaching as neededEnsure team executes documented operating procedures and follows established document control protocolsEnsure the protection of Corning's Intellectual Property (IP)Implement and monitor training and certification plansHold reports accountable for adherence to established procedures and setpoints for process control; ensures awareness and compliance to changesExperiences/Education - RequiredBachelor of Science or Bachelor of ArtsComputer skills (Excel - Basic formulas, and Word)Experiences/Education - DesiredBachelor of Science (Engineering or technical)1-3 years work experience in a manufacturing environment2-3 years previous supervisory experienceCertified Green Belt2-3 years experience with industrial labor relations (union or union-free)Ability to communicate with all levels of the plant organization
