We work with an impact-oriented approach, collaborating with local and international partners to respond to humanitarian emergencies and promote sustainable development.We are looking for a dynamic and passionate individual to join our Mozambique team as Team Leader.Main objective: management of a FFH/WB project for the integrated census of socio-economic, land and housing conditions of the families in 4 cities of Mozambique.Starting Date: 17/11/2025Period: 2 months (renewable)Language: EnglishReporting to: Program Director (1st supervisor) and Country Representative (2nd supervisor)Main Tasks And ResponsibilitiesManagement and coordination of project activitiesTogether with the project team, planning and development of activities necessary for the censusSupport in the supervision and verification of administrative and procurement proceduresCoordination of activities with respect to the schedule defined by the chronogramDrafting, revision and updating of technical documents such as: ToR, Financing Proposals, General Operational Plans etc.Development of relations with local partners and stakeholders involved in the project (institutions, donors, community)Preparation of expected deliverables, and narrative and accounting reports of the project to the donor and competent authoritiesSupport for verifying the correctness of the administrative reporting of project expensesCoordination of monitoring activities.Essential RequirementsMaster's degree in economics, or local development, or sociology, or related fieldsTechnician with minimum of 10 years of experience undertaking household surveys and/or population census in low-income countries5 years (or over 5 projects) experiences leading project management of censuses or surveysProven management experience in land cadaster activities in urban areas will be considered an advantage.Other Required Skills And ExperiencesGood knowledge of Minimum Humanitarian Standards (SPHERE) and Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS)Proficient knowledge of the main Office IT tools, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookStrong capacities of financial management and planningLeadership and training skillsCorporate managing and organizational skillsCapacities of managing of external auditsPrevious work experience in the international cooperation sector in Africa or Mozambique and/or knowledge of Portuguese language is an added value***References required for the last 5 years of work***How to applyPlease go on our website avsi.org and applyJob detailsCountryMozambiqueCity to be discussed (include protracted missions in Cabo Delgado e Nampula) SourceAVSI Foundation – ETSTypeJobCareer categoryProgram/Project ManagementYears of experience5-9 yearsThemeDisaster ManagementShare Share this on Facebook Share this on X Post this on LinkedIn
