Tech Lead (Web Hosting Environments)

We’re looking for a Technology Owner for Web Hosting — a recognised expert who will shape the future of Mars’s global web services infrastructure.In this role, you’ll own the strategy, modernisation, and optimisation of platforms that power our websites, APIs, and web applications across hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, and on-prem). You’ll provide deep technical leadership, ensure architectural excellence, and work cross-functionally with product, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams to deliver world-class, secure, and high-performing web hosting capabilities.What You’ll DoLead the technical strategy, design, and evolution of enterprise web hosting platforms and services.Define and manage the technology roadmap for web services infrastructure — driving modernisation and adoption of cloud-native, scalable solutions.Partner with engineering, product, and security teams to architect, deploy, and maintain high-availability, high-performance hosting environments.Oversee integrations with DNS, CDN, WAF, load balancing, SSL/TLS, and API gateways.Manage the lifecycle of web platforms — from deployment, monitoring, and patching to decommissioning.Champion best practices in security, performance, and automation, ensuring compliance across global operations.Serve as the subject matter expert and advisor for all web hosting technologies, guiding teams on architecture, performance tuning, and operational excellence.What You’ll BringExtensive experience managing or architecting web hosting platforms (e.g., IIS, Apache, Nginx) and container-based web services (Docker, Kubernetes).Proven hands-on experience with cloud web hosting solutions (AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Azure App Services, CloudFront, Azure Front Door, etc.).Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).Strong understanding of domain management, DNS, SSL/TLS, WAFs, load balancing, and hybrid networking.Experience managing both Windows and Linux-based web applications.Excellent understanding of web application security, resilience, and compliance.Natural collaborator and communicator — able to influence stakeholders at all levels and drive alignment across global teams.What can you expect from Mars?Work with diverse and talented Associates, all guided by the Five Principles.Join a purpose-driven company, where we’re striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.Best-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus.
