Experience : 3 to 9 years Skills : CATIA V5, PLM Tools (Teamcenter, Enovia) Location : Chennai Notice Period : Preferred Immediate joiners or candidates with up to 30 days' notice Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail oriented Vehicle Integration Engineer to lead the integration of vehicle systems with a focus on packaging feasibility, regulatory adherence, and ergonomic optimization. The ideal candidate will ensure that all components and subsystems are efficiently packaged within the vehicle architecture while meeting safety, comfort, and legal standards. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct vehicle packaging studies using DMU tools to ensure spatial compatibility of systems and aggregates Perform ergonomic evaluations for driver/passenger zones including ingress/egress, visibility, reachability, and comfort using digital manikin tools Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (AIS, CMVR, ISO, ECE) during design and layout finalization Lead packaging reviews and resolve clashes or feasibility issues across mechanical, electrical, and trim systems Define and manage hard points, mounting strategies, and clearance envelopes Support homologation teams by providing packaging data and ensuring design alignment with legal requirements Collaborate with cross functional teams including design, simulation, testing, and manufacturing Document packaging envelopes, ergonomic zones, and regulatory compliance matrices Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor¿s or Master¿s degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering Proficiency in CAD and DMU tools (CATIA, UG NX, Teamcenter) Strong understanding of vehicle architecture, ergonomics, and regulatory frameworks Experience in 3D packaging, layout validation, and ergonomic simulation Familiarity with DFMEA, GD&T, and tolerance stack up analysis Excellent communication and cross functional coordination skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience in EV or hybrid vehicle packaging and integration Exposure to global regulatory standards and certification processes Knowledge of digital ergonomic tools and virtual validation techniques
