DescriptionState of Idaho - Department of Administration OpportunityApplications will be accepted through 4:59 PM MST on the posting end date.We are seeking a detail-oriented and organizedTechnical Records Specialist 1to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting internal operations, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with public records and open meeting laws. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, tech-savvy, and capable of managing multiple administrative tasks with a high level of confidentiality.We serve Idaho by promoting responsible government through expert customer support.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet visitors and provide information and assistance.Answer and route telephone calls; take and deliver messages.Coordinate requests from agencies and internal divisions.Assist leadership with special projects and administrative tasks.Serve as back-up webmasterUse proprietary software and digital filing systems to complete work.Review and update website content as needed.Process daily mail.Administer Public Records Requests, including tracking, distribution, and closeout, ensuring compliance with public records statutes and confidentiality.Manage scheduling and logistics for meetings, including:Posting notices in compliance with Open Meeting LawsCompiling and distributing meeting materialsMinimum QualificationsMonitoring a records system to identify and correct errors;Researching a variety of sources to resolve problems;Interpreting, explaining and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments;Entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system.Preferred Qualifications (Desirable But Not Required)Knowledge of Public Records Request administration.Experience with website administration and content updates.Strong command of business English, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.Excellent customer service and public relations skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).Please note: The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint-based background check.This position will also interact with a diverse customer base and must be able to interact in a non-partisan manner when working in political environments.Thank you for your interest in employment with the Department of Administration!If you have questions about this position please contact us at:Email: humanresources@adm.idaho.govPhone: 208.332.1819BenefitsThe State of Idaho offers a robust total compensation package, including medical, vision, and dental insurance; PERSI retirement benefits; paid sick, vacation, and parental leave; and 11 paid holidays per year.
