AppScan Technical Advisor – Job DescriptionSummary:The AppScan Technical Advisor is responsible for growing new license, subscription & support, and services revenue for AppScan within HCL Software. The Technical Advisor will ensure the customer’s requirements are met with a software solution, conduct product demonstrations, workshops, Proof of Concepts (PoC’s), and work with HCL Software Sales teams to shape and progress opportunities. The Technical Advisor is a Pre-Sales customer-facing role that takes a solution-based approach to identifying, progressing and closing both software and professional services opportunities. They will also work closely across HCL Software sales, product management, professional services, development, support, and client advocacy. Experience:The individual should have 5+ years of technical experience and a strong willingness to work in enterprise software Pre-Sales. The role typically requires a 4-year university degree.Responsibilities:Technically identify and progress opportunities by informing customers of best practices and shaping decisions and outcomesLead technical responses to customer RF(x)’s for AppScanLead AppScan demonstrations, proof of concepts, technical innovation workshopsAssist Sales with presenting Professional ServicesSupport Customer Experience Team with adoption and renewalsLead product enablement sessions for select channel partners in your territoryBecome a technical product expert in all facets of AppScanContribute to technical collateral for re-usable sales and product purposesWork collaboratively across the HCL Software Sales and Services team, to drive resultsBe willing to develop technical skills, learn new products and expertise in every industryLeverage existing relationships or commitment to expand network via LinkedIn, or other social platforms to drive customer contacts, relationships, and product awarenessDesired Technical Skills and Experience:Familiar with common Application Security Testing technologies (DAST, SAST, SCA, IaC, IAST, RASP, CSPM, API Sec, etc.), Familiar with modern software development languages (e.g., NET framework languages, Java, Python, JavaScript, C/C++, etc.)Experience with at least one scripting languageExperience with any of the following Application Security products (AppScan, Snyk, Checkmarx, Invicti, OpenText (Fortify), Synopsys, Sonatype, Imperva, F5, Burp, etc.)Experience with Linux administration (e.g. RHEL, Ubuntu, etc.)Experience with Kubernetes administration (e.g. Kubernetes clusters, Helm, Docker, cloud platforms, etc.)Vast knowledge of developer and DevOps methodologies, trends, ecosystems, and best practicesExample CertificationsCISSP, CSSLP, OSCP, GWAPT, GWEB, GMOB, GPEN, CEHRHCSA, LCFS, LCFECKA, CKAD, KCNAProducts:The role will primarily be dedicated to AppScan, AppScan on Cloud, and AppScan 360Travel:Up to 50%+ travel
