Job Description

We are seeking a Technical & Sales Coordinator to support marine engine workshop and onboard service operations. The role combines technical coordination, documentation control, client communication, and sales support to ensure smooth execution of maintenance and repair activities while contributing to business development efforts.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical & Operations CoordinationCoordinate daily workshop and onboard marine engine maintenance and repair jobs.Track job progress to ensure timely completion.Arrange permits, site access, and logistics for dockside and onboard activities.Provide technical documentation, manuals, and drawings to engineers and technicians.Maintain engine service records, maintenance history files, and checklists.Coordinate spare parts requests with stores and procurement teams.Maintain inventory lists for consumables and critical spare parts.Prepare job cards, service reports, timesheets, and completion reports.Update ERP or maintenance systems with job status, cost tracking, and documentation.Ensure proper filing of certificates, inspection reports, and client documentation.Client & Sales SupportSupport preparation of quotations and job estimates.Follow up with clients on submitted quotations to secure orders.Convert service inquiries into confirmed jobs and maintain sales pipeline tracking.Coordinate meetings, appointments, and sales visits.Ensure timely invoicing and follow up on payment status with finance and clients.Coordinate with vessel crew, workshop teams, subcontractors, and vendors.Schedule third-party services and vendor attendance.Attend planning and client meetings to provide progress updates.Support business development activities when required.Compliance & SafetyEnsure all activities comply with company HSE procedures and shipyard regulations.Follow permit-to-work systems and safety requirements.Qualifications & ExperienceDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related technical field.2–4 years of experience in a shipyard or marine engine workshop environment.Basic knowledge of marine diesel engines (CAT, Cummins, MAN, MTU, etc.).Understanding of marine engine systems, overhaul, and maintenance processes.Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and parts lists.Knowledge of spare parts identification and procurement procedures.Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/maintenance management systems.
