Serverless platforms, AI-assisted engineering are few of those emerging technologies, setting a new standard in place of traditional architecture and delivering continuous drives business innovation and changing the way we view technology.With the emergence of cloud platforms, Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation practice is focused on delivering tailored, innovative solutions for our clients, helping them to disrupt their industry, connect their business to customers, and make better decisions about themselves.As a result, we’re looking to add an experienced Senior Specialist Lead to join our team and focus on delivering innovative software engineering solutions to our customers under our Deloitte and Deloitte Digital brands throughout New Zealand.Job DescriptionAs a Senior Specialist Lead you will be leading the technical delivery throughout the engagement lifecycle from advising client what good looks like, to shaping up the solution, and ultimately crafting and productionising it with the team.While mastery across all phases isn’t a requirement, you will have the opportunity to experience the full lifecycle, polish your skills as a consultant who delivers real value, and most importantly, share your perspective as a technical specialist to ensure the proposed solution is technically awesome, fit-for-purpose and value-adding.QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:Passionate about how customers can use technology to unlock value and able to identify the “why”.Able to confidently speak to clients and colleagues at various levels, clearly present solutions and articulate how they work and the value they bring to the client’s organisation.Proven experience developing on Cloud and/or Container platforms, with a solid understanding of when and how to leverage Cloud middleware/PaaS such as Azure Service Bus, Amazon EventBridge.Skilled in writing clean, high-quality code. While we encourage leveraging GenAI technologies to craft better code, a strong foundation in software engineering, design patterns, and writing maintainable code is essential.Hands on experience with modern technologies is a plus. Technology evolves every day, we don’t have a static checklist for this role, instead, we are keen to hear what you’ve worked on and how you plan to replicate and amplify your success using tools such as: React, API, Async API, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Kafka, NoSQL (Cosmos, DynamoDB, etc), Azure or AWS F/PaaS (Lambda, Function Apps, Logic Apps)Experience crafting AI-enabled solutions is a bonus, this includes experience with integrating LLMs into your solution, MCP built or configuration, designing and build multi-agents system, AI-enabled Conversational UX Additional InformationMaking an impact that matters, together:We are driven by our desire to create positive outcomes for our clients, communities, and people.
