As a Technical Operations Manager, you will define, own, and execute operational strategies that drive excellence across our global Technology organization.You will play a pivotal role in driving a cultural change to enable speed of delivery, system reliability, and cross-functional alignment, while ensuring that Datavant’s teams can operate efficiently and innovate responsibly. This is a high-impact role at the center of how Datavant builds and runs technology at scale.What You Will DoDefine and lead global operational frameworks to drive engineering excellence and predictability across all technology verticals while also improving system health and reliability, Standardize processes, tools, and reporting, creating visibility across delivery, capacity planning and incident management.Define and lead a global AI strategy that drives automation, standardization, and AI-enabled practices to enhance developer experience and productivity.Lead operational integrations for newly acquired companies, ensuring seamless alignment with Datavant’s IT, Security and technology standards and reporting cadence.Implement data-driven metrics and dashboards to measure uptime, performance, capacity, and delivery velocity.Partner cross-functionally with leaders in Engineering, Infrastructure, Product, and Security to define shared operational goals and success measures and architectural alignment.What You Need To Succeed7+ years of experience in technical operations, software development and large-scale engineering management.Proven success in defining strategies and rolling out operational frameworks that improve transparency, visibility and performance.Strong understanding of incident management, observability, CI/CD, capacity planning, and engineering productivity metrics.Excellent communication skills and the strong ability to influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, scaling environment.A mindset focused on data-driven decisions, continuous improvement, and automationExperience working in healthcare, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries is a plus.We are committed to building a diverse team of Datavanters who are all responsible for stewarding a high-performance culture in which all Datavanters belong and thrive.
