We are currently seeking a Technical Product Specialist to join our Product Management and Marketing team. The position will be located in Etters, PA.SummaryWe are seeking a Technical Product Specialist to be a team player in High Speed IO Connectors who can regularly (daily if necessary) keep in touch with engineering, quality, production, and customer service, providing technical assistance and guidance in relation to the product line.ResponsibilitiesHandling RFQs, RFPs, as well as costing and pricing of product linesManaging product sampling on new programs, ensuring BOM costs are correctEnsuring part numbering system is correctly implementedMonitoring on-going cost reduction and implementationProviding technical assistance to customers & sales teamDeveloping marketing materials including product literature, samples, sample cases, and other marketing collateralAttending customer seminars & exhibition, visiting customers with local sales team to increase business levelSupporting distribution and salespeople in the region, owning the growth plan for assigned regionPricing and RFQ analysis, ensuring accurate costing, BOM, and part numberCoordinating and managing multiple sampling programs for new productsAdvocating for on-going Cost ReductionDeveloping sales and marketing tools, providing technical assistance to customers and sales teamOther related marketing and planning duties as requiredJob-related travel may be requiredQualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering3 + years related experience, ideally within an interconnect companyPrior work history as a Cost Analyst, Inventory Manager, Product Specialist, or Customer ServiceExperience in technical sales or marketing, with wok in forecast and funnel management Telecom, Networking, or Storage OEM/CM sales or marketing experience Excellent English writing skills and advanced computer skillsTechnical aptitude, including ability to read mechanical drawingsStrong Microsoft Excel skillsStrong maturity and judgment with good telephone and presentation skillsAmphenol Corporation is proud of our reputation as an excellent employer.
