Technical Project Manager - AI

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and deliver data engineering, data modeling, and cloud-based data projects using both traditional Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and Agile frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while remaining adaptable to changing requirements and priorities. ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & ExecutionDefine project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource plans for data-centric projects.Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and schedules aligned with SDLC phases or Agile sprints.Manage dependencies, risks, and issues related to data quality, integration, and security, ensuring timely resolution and escalation.Facilitate Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables aligned with business objectives.Stakeholder ManagementAct as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication on project progress and outcomes.Gather and document data requirements with input from business stakeholders, analysts, and data scientists.Present project status reports, metrics, and insights to leadership, emphasizing business value and data-driven outcomes.Process & Quality ManagementEnforce SDLC processes for data projects, including:Requirements gatheringData modelingPipeline developmentTesting, deployment, and post-implementation reviewApply Agile best practices to improve delivery velocity, transparency, and collaboration.Champion continuous improvement and adoption of project management best practices across data engineering and analytics.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).10+ years of project management experience in data engineering, analytics, or software development environments.Proven experience delivering data projects using both Waterfall/SDLC and Agile methodologies.Strong track record of delivering complex data projects on time and within budget.Deep understanding of data engineering, data modeling, and data warehousing.Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Proficiency with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Trello)Expertise in risk management and change management.PMP (Project Management Professional)CSM / PMI-ACP (Certified ScrumMaster or Agile Certified Practitioner)
