What does the role involve?We are seeking a technically skilled and hands-on professional to lead and manage major CAPEX and retrofit projects across a portfolio of stabilized logistics assets in Belgium & The Netherlands. This role focuses primarily on future-proofing our properties through upgrade projects, including energy efficiency measures such as solar PV, battery storage, HVAC retrofit, power upgrades, roof re-enforcements,…As the technical counterpart to external suppliers and contractors, our ideal candidate will rely on his/her extensive experience for the successful delivery of works – ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.Accountabilities And DutiesExecution of CAPEX and Retrofit Projects:Manage and coordinate major building upgrades across existing warehouses.Focus areas include roof replacements and reinforcements, insulation replacement, HVAC upgrades, LED retrofitting, power upgrades and renewable energy solutions (e.g. PV systems, battery storage, EVCI).Coordination with Authorities:Engage with local authorities and regulatory bodies where required for permitting and compliance related to construction works.Support and oversee the preparation and submission of relevant technical documentation and ensure follow-up during the permitting process.Contractor Tendering & Negotiation:Lead or oversee the tendering process for contractors and suppliers, including drafting technical specifications and evaluating bidsNegotiate technical and commercial terms of contracts, ensuring alignment with internal CAPEX plans, timelines, and quality expectations.Supplier & Contractor Management:Act as the main technical counterpart to external service providers, contractors, and engineering consultants.Ensure high-quality execution and that all works are aligned with contractual obligations, health & safety standards and project specifications.Technical Oversight:Monitor ongoing works on-site, perform on-site inspections, and follow up on progress, compliance, and quality.Validate technical deliverables and commissioning results.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including the tenants, Asset Management, energy and Legal teams, to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.Provide insights to help define annual CAPEX planning and budgeting.Who are we looking for? Combine technical expertise and strong project management skills, ability to coordinate and work on several projects simultaneously;Holding a Master degree as civil or industrial engineer (construction) or equivalent based on experience;Demonstrated experience of at least five years in managing major retrofits/ construction developments;Strong project management and communication skills combining multiple ongoing projects in parallel;Good knowledge of the regulations, market requirements and market trends regarding (industrial) real-estate and / or energy solutions;Able to review technical documentation and challenge suppliers when necessary;Fluent in English and Dutch;Willingness to travel between Belgium and The Netherlands;Not sure if you fit the profile?
