We are looking for a Technical Purchaser to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is based at our Hungarian Office, located in Budapest. By joining us, you will contribute to building the first large scale battery factories in Europe, Asia and the United States.Your tasksWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Purchaser to manage the sourcing and procurement of standard and make-to-order (MTO) parts. This role involves identifying reliable suppliers, obtaining quotations, placing orders, and closely following up with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.Source vendors for make-to-order (MTO) parts based on technical specifications or drawings provided by engineeringRequest and evaluate quotations from multiple suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and lead times.Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers in alignment with company targets.Issue purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation is maintained for audit and tracking purposes.Monitor and track order status; proactively follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery.Liaise with internal stakeholders (engineering, production, quality) to clarify requirements and provide regular status updates.Address any delays, discrepancies, or quality issues in coordination with vendors and internal teams.Maintain supplier performance records and support vendor evaluations.Identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the procurement process.Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.The ideal candidate hasA bachelor degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Economics/Administration or equivalent2–4 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environmentExperience with make-to-order or custom part procurement is highly desirableFamiliarity with technical specifications and ability to read basic engineering drawings is a plusExcellent analytical, numerical and problem solving skillsProficiency in MS Office, especially ExcelA strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressureStrong verbal and written communication skills in English and HungarianWhy choose PECPEC employees work in an international, multi-cultural team that is building the most advanced battery factories and highly contributes in the transformation to a carbon free society.You’ll have a compensation package based on the market and related to your experienceYou will have a permanent employment contract offering you security and stabilityA chance to engineer your own future and grow and develop yourself in a dynamic and international company that focuses on innovation and customer satisfaction.
