Role OverviewThis is a hybrid role that combines technical expertise (Software Engineering, Data Science, and Mechanical Engineering) with strong sales and communication skills. The position focuses on managing high-value, long-cycle technical sales while engaging with both technical and business stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesDiscovery and Needs AnalysisConduct discovery calls to understand client needs and challenges.Analyse prospects’ current workflows and data challenges to tailor solutions that address their goals.Solution Customisation and Value PropositionCustomise product demonstrations and presentations to show how the solution meets the client’s specific requirements.Highlight the value proposition by focusing on features, benefits, and measurable outcomes relevant to the client’s objectives.Proposal and Quotation PreparationPrepare clear, detailed proposals that align the solution with client objectives and deliverables.Collaborate with internal teams to develop accurate quotes, addressing pricing, contract terms, and any specific client requests.Handling Objections and NegotiationsAddress client concerns and engage in constructive negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.Documentation and Proposal ReviewMaintain detailed records of client interactions, feedback, and next steps in the CRM system.Review proposals with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment with client expectations.Building and Managing RelationshipsBuild trust with prospects through clear communication and technical expertise.Maintain strong client relationships by being responsive, proactive, and committed to long-term success.Sales Handover and TransitionEnsure a smooth transition by clearly communicating client needs and expectations to the technical team.Partner with Application Engineers to ensure effective implementation and client satisfaction.Qualifications1–2 years of experience in deep-tech B2B sales environments (startup experience a plus).Technical background in engineering or related applications.Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical details into business value.Excellent presentation and communication skills in English.Key TraitsSelf-motivated and goal-oriented, with a collaborative and solution-focused mindset.Demonstrates professionalism, empathy, and confidence in client interactions.Flexible and adaptable, with a commitment to achieving results and supporting team success.
