PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of Technical Sales Manager based in Algeria. Portwest is one of the fastest growing workwear companies in the world currently employing over 5,300 staff worldwide, with customer service staff in over 130+ countries and 11 Global warehouses in UK, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain, UAE, USA and Australia. We design, manufacture and distribute market leading workwear, safety wear and PPE in fully owned production facilities.Job SummaryAs a Technical Sales Manager based in Algeria, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales of Portwest products within the specified regions. Reporting into the Regional Sales Manager, you will leverage your expertise in gloves, and FR to engage with end-users and expand Portwest's market presence in the designated territories.Overview Of Duties & ResponsibilitiesDrive growth and increase sales of Gloves and FR in your region through your technical expertise and customer facing experience.Work closely with your Regional Sales Manager to develop a strategy and market plan to maximise opportunities and drive the growth of Gloves and FR in your region.Identify opportunities to grow the Portwest Gloves and FR at both distributor & end-user level.Provide technical expertise and advice to Portwest distributors, prospects, and end-users and cultivate strong, long-term business relationships with sameAccompany Portwest distributors on joint sales calls to end-users to support them through your technical knowledge & expertise in Gloves andDeliver technical Gloves and FR training to Portwest distributors, prospects, and end-users both digitally and in-person.Deliver technical Gloves and FR training to Portwest sales team and support them to increase sales of Gloves and FR in their area as well as facilitating training for other Portwest employees who are stakeholders in the Gloves and FR ranges.Identify potential gaps with the Portwest Gloves and FR and work with the Product Team to help develop and enhance the Gloves and FR offer.Work with Product & Marketing team to advise on sales content creation to help drive the growth of Gloves and FR.Requirements5 years of experience in selling FR or Gloves.Experience in sales, preferably representing a distributor.Background in technical sales is essential.Possession of a clean driving license and willingness to travel within the designated region.Experience in importing is essential.Company AwardsGreat Place To Work 2024 Private Irish Business of the year – Export Industry Awards 2025Silver Ecovadis Sustainability Rating 2025Applicants must have a right to live and work in the relevant jurisdiction.Portwest is an equal opportunity employer.
