We are headhunting for a Technical Sales Representative (Pumps) who us responsible for driving sales, developing business opportunities, and providing technical expertise in pump solutions across industries such as mining, water treatment, manufacturing, power generation, and construction. This role combines strong sales acumen with deep product knowledge to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer requirements, ensuring both revenue growth and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business DevelopmentIdentify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in the pump solutions market.Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while expanding the customer base.Achieve and exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and market share objectives.Conduct regular site visits, presentations, and product demonstrations to showcase technical solutions.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms in line with company policies.Technical Support & ConsultationProvide expert advice on pump selection, sizing, and application to meet client requirements.Interpret technical specifications, drawings, and tender documents.Offer solutions for pump performance optimization, energy efficiency, and system reliability.Work closely with engineering and service teams to design and deliver customized pump solutions.Assist customers with troubleshooting, product training, and after-sales support.Market Intelligence & StrategyMonitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and market analysis for management.Collaborate with marketing teams to develop campaigns, exhibitions, and promotional materials.Operational & Administrative DutiesPrepare proposals, quotations, and technical documentation.Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and pipeline in CRM systems.Coordinate with supply chain, service, and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and support.Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong technical knowledge of centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, submersible pumps, and related systems.Proven sales and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving targets.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.Excellent problem-solving and solution-selling abilities.Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build long-term business relationships.Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team.Qualifications & ExperienceDiploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (advantageous).Minimum 3–5 years of technical sales experience in pumps or rotating equipment.Knowledge of fluid dynamics, hydraulics, and pump applications.Experience in industries such as mining, manufacturing, water treatment, oil & gas, or power generation preferred.Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
