Job PurposeEnsuring the AD Ports vessels are well maintained, seaworthy and certified by international bodies or flag states.About the Maritime ClusterAD Ports Group’s Maritime & Shipping Cluster is led by Noatum Maritime, a globally connected agile entity operating across multiple countries. With a fleet of over 250 vessels and decades of expertise, Noatum Maritime offers a diverse portfolio of services delivering “everything you need on the seas.”Responsibilities Ensure the assigned vessels are always technically operational minimizing downtime through effective planning and execution of maintenance activities.Oversee the maintenance, repair and performance of all machinery and equipment onboard.Plan and manage scheduled dry-docking and other maintenance projects within budget and timeline.Ensure vessels comply with all statutory and class requirements including inspections and certifications.Provide technical guidance to the vessel’s crew to ensure safe and efficient operations.Ensure the vessels are ready for OVSMA/ Vetting surveys.Support the training and development of onboard engineers.Investigate and report technical incidents or breakdowns ensuring timely corrective actions.Recommend preventive measures to avoid recurring issues.Coordinate with procurement teams for the timely supply of spare parts and consumables.Manage critical spares inventory to prevent operational disruptions.To handle international procurement process.Act as the main point of contact between vessel and shipping agency.Setting up of International Technical facility outside UAE to manage fleets of vessels engaged on chartering.Rooted knowledge and ability to read Pneumatic/Hydraulic and Electrical circuit diagram and other ship’s drawings.Well versed on vessel’s Class survey cycle and other Governing bodies requirements of international standards.Qualifications3-5 years’ experience in Management level (2E or CE) on-board sea going vessel, preferably ASD tugsMinimum at least 5 years as Technical Superintendent with a broad knowledge on major propulsion equipment repairs and dry dockingMinimum Chief Marine engineer officer or Second Engineer officer license holder or technical background with Shipyard Project engineer expertise with overseas projects.Well versed with OCIMF/Vetting requirements. Required SkillsWell experience in Ship equipment maintenance and must be fully aware of equipment operation concept.Well verse on shipyard’s work processes and procedures for specific task.Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
