Technical Superintendent (LNG)

PERSOL APAC is currently assisting one of our clients in Japanese Shipping company in finding great talent as a Technical Superintendent with the requirement as follows:Working location: JakartaWe are seeking a Technical Superintendent to oversee the engineering management of large ocean-going vessels (approximately 60,000 tons and 200 meters in length). This is a shore-based position—not an onboard assignment. Each superintendent is responsible for one vessel, ensuring its safe, reliable, and efficient operation at all times.In this role, you will manage all aspects of the ship’s technical performance, including engine and machinery maintenance, inspection schedules, and problem-solving for unexpected mechanical issues. Your ultimate goal is to maintain the vessel’s safety and operational excellence.Job Responsibility:Supervise the maintenance, inspection, and repair of the ship’s engines and related machinery.Oversee procurement and cost management of spare parts, fuel, and other technical supplies.Plan and coordinate dry-docking and periodic inspections, including the mandatory five-year special survey.Manage regulatory inspections, certifications, and voyage permits.Analyze and resolve technical issues by proposing effective and practical solutions.Ensure safe vessel operations and promote continuous improvement in safety and performance standards.Lead and guide the engine department team while maintaining close coordination with the ship management company.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree from Marine Engineering or relevant Fluent in English is Mandatory at least 4 years of seafaring experience on a non-LNG vessel as a Chief or First Engineer. at least 2 years of seafaring experience as Chief or First Engineer on an LNG vessel By sending us your personal data and curriculum vitae (CV), you are deemed to consent to PERSOLKELLY Indonesia and its local and overseas subsidiaries and affiliates collecting, using and disclosing your personal data to prospective employers/companies based in any country for purposes of evaluating suitability for employment, conducting reference checks, administering employment related services, complying with Government’s COVID-19 health advisories and such other purposes stated in our privacy policy.
