Then join our growing team!Technical Support ManagerResponsibilities:Remote technical support, by email, phone/hotline or remote control (working up to 5 days a week with rotation for Saturday, shift (7am – 3pm), coinciding with US – GERMANY 24-hour coverage. (if necessary, in cooperation with the specialist department)Installation, inspection, maintenance, retrofit and repair service of Somic machines at customer site.Assist in occasional regional sales visits.Interface to Headquarters and service partnersCoordination and follow up of field service activitiesBasic customer training in machine operation and regular maintenance.Other tasks as instructed by the companypreparation and promotion of service / spare parts packages with existing install base. Support and advice to our national and international customers on technical issues in the field of automation machinesEnsuring customer satisfactionMaintenance and documentation of customer-specific data (remote maintenance access, ...)Preparation of internal electronic hardwareProfile:Preferably with further training as a technician (m/f/d) or comparable qualificationsSeveral years of experience in customer service, preferably in the field of packaging machines, Background in electro and mechanical engineeringService-oriented and willing to travel up to 50–70% of the year (nationally and internationally) after completing service trainingIdeally, experience in technical support, remote support, service or customer care, preferably in the field of automation machinesEnjoy technology and solving tricky tasks in the field of automation machinesPrepared for extensive duration of training in Germany / EU. Able to work independently and self-organizedFamiliar with Microsoft Office applicationsfluent English, written and spoken.
