They manage the operational elements of both on and off-street parking across Calderdale. This includes enforcement, operations, and administration.An exciting opportunity has arisen, due to the growth of the service, to recruit a Technical Support Officer to join the existing team.The post will be responsible for supporting all the back-office functions of an operational parking service. The role will primarily be responsible for the processing of Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) and permits. This includes the consideration of appeals and permit applications efficiently, accurately and in accordance with legislation, existing policies, procedures, and timescales.We are looking for candidates that have experience of working in a busy front-line service and that can demonstrate both strong organisational and communication skills. They must have the ability to deal sensitively and professionally with a wide range of people, both verbally and in writing, often explaining complex and technical information. They must have both a flexible and proactive approach to their work.
