You’ll be the link between technology, product, and design, ensuring our technical foundation supports both growth and customer delight.You’ll set direction, drive development, and mentor your team, while ensuring the platform remains scalable, performant, and secure. In short, you’ll be shaping the backbone of how millions of customers find and purchase their perfect yarn match.Key responsibilitiesLead, coach, and develop a team of 4–6 software engineers focused on the purchase journeyDefine and execute the technical roadmap for Hobbiis e-commerce platformCollaborate closely with Product and Design to improve conversion, satisfaction, and loyaltyEnsure reliable, fast, and secure shopping and payment flows across web and mobileFoster engineering excellence through best practices, code quality, and continuous improvementBridge technical complexity and business impact – turning insight into clear directionCreate a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and shared ownershipYour profileYou’re an experienced software engineer and a natural leader – curious, structured, and business-minded. You combine technical depth with a strong sense of product and people, thriving where strategy meets execution.We imagine you bring:6+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a technical lead roleSolid background in e-commerce platforms, ideally Shopify Plus or similarHands-on experience with modern technologies such as React, Node.js, TypeScript, or LaravelExperience with service architecture, APIs, and integrationsUnderstanding of payment systems, inventory management, and order processingAbility to mentor and motivate engineers and foster strong team collaborationA product mindset – comfortable working with data, experimentation, and business metricsA calm and pragmatic approach when priorities shift or complexity increasesWhy join Hobbii?At Hobbii, you’ll join a team of talented, passionate people who love what they do.
