Technical Trainer - Maintenance - Food Manufacturing SectorOur client in the Food Manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Technical Trainer to drive learning and skills development within a high-performance maintenance environment. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional with a passion for coaching, knowledge transfer, and capability building within operational and engineering teams. The position reports directly to the Learning & Development Advisor (Maintenance Campus).Key Responsibilities:Develop and deliver structured onboarding and technical training programmes for new maintenance employees, with a strong emphasis on safe working practices.Design hybrid learning solutions for experienced technicians, blending classroom facilitation, hands-on training, and digital learning modules.Translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical learning material suitable for diverse skill levels.Work closely with managers, engineers, and supervisors to align training outcomes with operational requirements.Create, maintain, and continuously improve technical training content, ensuring it remains current and aligned to industry developments.Monitor learner progress, provide feedback, and document competency progression via the organisation’s Learning Management System (LMS).Integrate simulations, pilot installations, and practical test scenarios into learning programmes to reinforce on-the-job application.Support a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and technical excellence within the maintenance function.Deliver training across different teams and shifts when required to ensure full coverage.Experience:Minimum 5 years’ experience as a technician within a manufacturing, engineering, FMCG, or industrial environment.Strong technical foundation with proven ability to mentor, coach, or train others.Previous exposure to Learning & Development, technical training, or competency-based coaching will be advantageous.Confident communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify technical language.Comfortable using Learning Management Systems (LMS) or digital learning tools.Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to influence and engage learners at all levels.Safety-first mind-set with a commitment to high technical and operational standards.Able to support training across different working hours when necessary to accommodate operational teams.Educational Requirements:Technical qualification (electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, or equivalent).Additional certifications in training, instructional design, or adult education will be beneficial but not essential.Ongoing commitment to staying updated with technical advancements and modern learning methodologies.If you are a technically skilled professional who enjoys developing others and shaping capability within growing maintenance teams, this is a unique opportunity to merge technical expertise with impactful learning and development work.Mindcor will respond to shortlisted candidates only.
