G4S Secure Solutions (SA), a leading provider of integrated security management solutions, has a vacancy for a Technician based at our operations in Heidelberg, Gauteng, reporting to the Senior Technician and Site Security Supervisor.The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which the Technician plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.We welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates, but SA citizens will have a distinct advantage.Main ResponsibilitiesEffective administration of the technology contract to ensure sound financial performanceCoordinate around the profitability of contracts with a focus on maintenance, cost effectiveness and labor. Contract Margin Management i. Billable hours ii. Job Cards Coordinate with administration on the contract cost and invoice documentation with accurate informationEffective management of staff Effective Organization i. Proper management of staff to work flow and job requirements. ii. Coordinate with Office around work requirementsiii. Monitor daily tasks iv. Train and upskill subordinates Leadership i. Staff motivation levelsii. Evaluate staff performance iii. Ensuring that acceptable standards of behavior at work are maintained by all subordinate employees, as required by G4S’s code of conduct and disciplinary code.Effective management of operationsCoordinating process flow and activities that have a direct/indirect impact on the outcome and success of a contract/project. Coordinate and complete daily tasks with close monitoring of standards and hours of subordinates. Client retention and customer service levels i. Ensuring that all required formal customer meetings are scheduled, attended and minuted.ii. Maintenance of positive customer relationshipsQuality Management/Ops Process management – adherence to quality standardi. Conduct and oversee quality controls and inspectionsEffective management of business development functionNew business development i. Identifying new business opportunities in the region’s sphere of operations, as well as in terms growth of business with existing customers.Health and SafetyParticipate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the departmental safety plans for each yearParticipate in safety forums created by the company for example safety meetings and safety talksReport all safety incidents to the relevant peopleDiscuss all safety incidentsFollow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting/committee/representative/managementAttend safety education and refresher programsComply with safety policies and procedures at the workplaceDistribute safety information as and when requiredQualification and ExperienceGrade 12Valid Driver´s LicenceFormal Technical Training advantageous2-3 years Electronic Security Services /Maintenance experienceExtensive experience with regards to implementation of the following systems: I.
