Number 13497SharemoreThe Material Management Technician is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely handling, storage, and distribution of materials for SMT (Surface Mount Technology) production lines. This role supports production efficiency by maintaining material availability, performing inventory control, and ensuring that materials are properly prepared and presented for SMT processes.Your tasksMaterial Handling & KittingPrepare and issue kits to SMT lines according to production schedules and BOMs (Bill of Materials)Ensure all components are correct, properly labeled, and in usable conditionLoad/unload reels, trays, and components to/from machines as required Inventory ManagementMonitor stock levels of SMT components, notify shortages, and coordinate with purchasing or planningPerform regular inventory cycle counts and reconcile discrepanciesMaintain proper storage of moisture-sensitive devices (MSDs) in compliance with IPC standards System & DocumentationUse ERP/MRP systems to track material movements and update inventory recordsEnsure accurate data entry of lot numbers, quantities, and part numbers Quality & ComplianceHandle ESD-sensitive components by following proper ESD proceduresEnsure compliance with company standards for traceability and material controlReport and isolate non-conforming materials Line SupportReplenish feeders, components, and materials during production runsAssist with line setup and teardown based on job changeoversCommunicate material shortages or issues to production leads or engineers promptlyExciting insights into Rohde & SchwarzOur Colleagues Provide Insider Information AboutDaily adventures and challengesOur passionate teamThe technologies behind the innovative projects and solutionsYour browser does not support the video tagYour QualificationsDiploma or equivalent; technical diploma is a plus1–3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or SMT environmentFamiliarity with component identification, ESD handling, and IPC standardsExperience using ERP systems and barcode scannersAbility to read BOMs, work instructions, and assembly drawingsStrong attention to detail and well-organizedInterested?We are looking forward to receiving your application!
