And if that’s you we would love to have you join us!Job DescriptionRole Purpose :You will serve as the technical domain expert for our Software & Control products portfolio, leveraging your expertise to consult with the sales team and drive business growth. In this role, you will be actively involved in strategic customer engagements, identifying both technical and commercial challenges, and collaborating with the appropriate teams to resolve them. You will also have opportunities to participate in marketing events, where you will showcase your knowledge and present to customers.Ongoing learning will be essential to your success. You will attend technical training sessions and explore emerging technologies, often before they reach the market. As part of our global community of domain experts, you will also benefit from networking and knowledge-sharing across regions.Reporting LineYou will report to Software & Control Manager - Regional.What You'll DoBe the go-to technical expert for your product and industry in your region.Train the sales team and partners on product knowledge and usage.Support sales by presenting, demonstrating, and testing products with customers.Help create proposals for customer opportunities during pre-sales.Explain how your product stands out from competitors.Understand competitor products and strategies to highlight your product's advantages.Join trade shows and seminars to showcase products and engage with customers.Support distributors and system integrators to ensure they can effectively promote and demonstrate your products.Help launch new products by introducing them to the sales team and partners.Solve product compatibility issues and guide customers and sales teams.Keep learning through formal and informal training to stay updated on technology.Share updates with customers about new products and technologies relevant to their needs.Provide feedback to the product team about gaps or improvement ideas.Share insights with peers across regions and globally.Work with Tech Support to resolve post-sales product issues.Understand and apply the company's business model and go-to-market approach.Know the industry trends and use outcome-base selling strategies.Understand your customer's business goals and key performance indicators.The Essentials – You Will HaveBachelor's degree in engineering or an equivalent discipline.5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in automation and related products.Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in automation, such as Python, Java, C++, C#, or specialized automation scripting languages.Familiarity with key automation tools and technologies, including PLCs, HMIs, Historian systems, SQL databases, networking, and cloud solutions within the automation domain.Strong understanding of the specific industry or domain in which the automation company operates, enabling effective alignment with customer requirements and challenges.Familiarity with IoT platforms and SaaS offerings is highly desirable.Previous experience in customer-facing roles is an advantage.Comfortable in a role that combines both technical and commercial responsibilities.What We OfferOur benefits package includes,Comprehensive mindfulness programs with a premium membership to Calm.Company volunteer and donation matching program - Your volunteer hours or personal cash donations to an eligible charity can be matched with a charitable donation.Employee Assistance Program.Personalized wellbeing programs through our OnTrack program.On-demand digital course library for professional development and other local benefits!This summary outlines the primary responsibilities of the TC role but may not include the full scope of tasks.At Rockwell Automation, we are dedicated to establishing a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment where all employees experience trust and belonging so that they are enabled and inspired to make an impact.
