Job Title- Network EngineerLocation- Sydney/Melbourne (Onsite)Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and manage network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, WAPs) to meet business demands Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and resolve incidents to minimize downtime Configure, maintain, and secure network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs) Implement security measures:
firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, segmentation, access control policies Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, backups, and disaster recovery procedures Document network configurations, topologies, standards, and change history I Support and mentor IT staff on networking best practices and tools Coordinate with vendors, third-party providers, and other IT teams for infrastructure projects Stay updated on technological advancements and integrate improvements when needed Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or equivalent 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in network configuration and administration Proficiency with routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless infrastructure Deep understanding of protocols:
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, and VLAN tagging Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset Excellent communication and teamwork skills Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e. g. , SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios)
