Telecoms Engineer - Data Center SME

Arcadis are seeking a SME Telecoms Engineer to work on Datacenter projects with a Big Tech client in Dublin. Position SummaryDatacenter Design Subject Matter Expert will manage, review, coordinate and provide key technical input during site due diligence, detailed design and/or construction administration phases of a datacenter project. This position will collaborate and manage internal and external resources for the delivery of discipline specific systems aligning with client and site-specific requirements.Job DescriptionThe Datacenter Design Subject Matter Expert will be responsible for the facilitation and delivery of industry-leading datacenter designs including the development of new technology and advanced concepts from pre-programming through design development, construction, and the turnover to Operations. This role will provide technical direction, decision-making, document review and overall leadership for our datacenter architectural / engineering designs. To be successful in this role the candidate will oversee the delivery of multiple, concurrent, complete Datacenter design solutions aligned with the scopes, schedules, and budgets of the projects. The Design Subject Matter Expert will engage with key groups internally as well as outside vendors who specialize in datacenter architecture and engineering.Knowledge, Experience and Skills:Successful candidates will lead and direct architecture or engineering design consultants in the design and coordination of discipline specific systems. The candidate must have excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills. Candidate must possess a high level of proficiency in their specific discipline with a primary focus on datacenter design. The candidate must also be able to work with other technical and non-technical groups in a fast- paced environment and do so with an even temperament. The candidate must be a person of integrity, be methodical, detailed- oriented with a strong work ethic.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in related fieldProfessional EngineerMinimum of 10 years’ experience in consulting engineeringMinimum of 5 years’ experience as lead engineer, lead architect or design managerCandidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to lead teams of engineers in advanced engineering and operational processes and procedures as they relate to large datacenter environments.Ability to manage, prioritize and successfully execute multiple concurrent projects.Interested parties should forward a copy of their CV through the link below or contact Fergal Walshe via LinkedIn for further information
