Job DescriptionThe SMT Team Leader oversees the daily operations of the Surface Mount Technology production line, Selective Soldering, Manual Soldering, Testing and Routing, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality output, and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role involves supervising a team of operators, coordinating production schedules, reporting finished products, following KPI-s, escalating equipment issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Selective SolderingManual SolderingTestingRoutingEnsure efficient workflow and high-quality output across all production stagesEnforce compliance with safety and quality standardsSupervise and support a team of production operatorsCoordinate production schedules to meet delivery targetsReport finished products and maintain accurate production recordsMonitor and follow Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Escalate equipment issues to maintenance or engineering teamsTrain new operators on procedures, equipment, and safety protocolsWork in shifts and ensure smooth handovers between teamsPromote and implement continuous improvement initiativesRequirementsPrevious experience managing a team in the electronics assembly fieldMinimum 1 year of experience working on an SMT production line, preferably as an SMT Product Line ManagerStrong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced production environmentHands-on attitude – willing to work on the production line when needed to achieve resultsDemonstrates leadership by example and motivates team membersEffective communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, technicians, and managersProficiency in Estonian and/or English (good level)Russian at a communication levelSolid computer skills, especially in MS OfficeResponsible, disciplined, and professional in conductPreferred/Useful QualificationsEducational background or knowledge in electronics or electrical engineeringKnowledge of IPC standards; IPC certification is a strong advantageExperience with ERP systems, especially SAPTeledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
