Job Title: Telehealth Oncology Triage NurseJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Telehealth Oncology Triage Nurse to provide exceptional telephonic triage services to oncology patients. This role involves assessing patient needs, collaborating with qualified staff, and ensuring appropriate care. The nurse will document all care elements in the patient's medical record, identify high-risk conditions, provide patient education, and direct additional care to appropriate resources as necessary. Under general supervision, the nurse will deliver professional nursing care adhering to national and organizational standards, guidelines, and state licensing board scope of practice.ResponsibilitiesProvide telephonic triage services to oncology patients.Assess patient needs and collaborate with qualified staff to ensure appropriate care.Document all care elements in the patient's medical record.Identify high-risk conditions and provide patient education.Direct additional care to appropriate resources if necessary.Support the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.Participate in company-wide quality initiatives.Essential SkillsActive and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or other compact state (additional state licenses may be required).Oncology Certified Nurse or the ability to obtain certification within 1 year.Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 recent years in oncology.Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and telecommunication tools.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsCompassionate, patient-centered approach to care.Work EnvironmentThis is a remote position with working hours from 7 am to 4 pm Central time, Monday to Friday. The role may involve planned in-office training and meetings in The Woodlands, Texas. The position is a 6-month contract with the potential for a full-time offer. The company provides equipment, ongoing virtual training, and support. Continuing education units (CEUs) and relevant certifications are covered. Attendance at all onsite meetings and training in The Woodlands, Texas office is required.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of The Woodlands, Texas.Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $39.00 - $39.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
