Job Posting End Date - Applications will no longer be accepted starting11-27-2025Job SummarySalary: $22.50If you experience technical issues submitting your application, please reach out to City of Orlando Human Resources at jobs@orlando.gov or 407-246-2062.Performs responsible technical field and office work for complex crime scene investigations, documenting crime scenes, evidence identification, collection, processing, preservation, and submission; producing detailed reports; testifying in court proceedings; and performing other duties as assigned. Employees assigned to this classification must complete an extensive training program to reach full proficiency in all areas. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Forensics Manager. Performance may be reviewed while in progress and upon completion through direct on-site observation, conferences, and review of reports.Minimum RequirementsAssociate's Degree in Crime Scene Technology, Crime Scene Investigations, Forensic Science, or related field and one (1) year experience in crime scene processing or photography; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Must pass medical and psychological examinations. Must pass thorough background check which includes polygraph.THIS IS A PART_TIME_POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. THIS POSITION INVOLVES WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEEED.Important: To be eligible to proceed forward in the application process, applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed in the position description.
