DescriptionUnder the supervision of the Associate Director of Admissions the position is responsible for participation in all aspects of undergraduate admission efforts including all virtual and in-person recruitment activities, evaluating candidates for admission, interviewing candidates, assisting students in understanding transfer credit evaluations and academic program requirements prior to applying for admission, and all other duties as assigned.The Admissions Recruiter will primarily recruit transfer students. Recruitment activities include comprehensive presentations to counselors and students during college visitations; representing Rowan University at college days and college nights; doing group presentations; and representing Rowan University to parents and students at regional and national college fairs. The Admissions Recruiter will participate in the University Open House Programs, Campus Visit Programs, Admitted Students Days and Tour Presentations.The Admissions Recruiter will assist in reviewing applications for fall and spring semesters.The Admissions Recruiter will participate on university committees and in related professional association activities.Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree from an accredited college.Experience working in a college admissions office, including transfer student recruitment.Availability to workday, evening and weekend hours - including extensive travel.Experience working at a tuition-driven institution.Customer-focused, competitive, and able to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills and positive attitude.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Highly motivated and works well independently.Highly proficient with technology, Banner, Slate CRM, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word).Must have a valid driver’s license.Rate: $25 per hourHoursThis temporary, part-time position is assigned no more than twenty-five (25) hours per week.NotesCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the US, and the university will not sponsor an applicant for a work visa for this position.Only completed online applications submitted on or before the posted deadline will be considered.
