Chief Technology Officer

Teqconnect are on the lookout for a CTO to join our client, they are a one-stop shop for customers who want to enhance their business with proven, up-to-date solutions based on conversational AI and technologies beyond it: LLMs, NLP, Speechtech. Their team brings huge cutting-edge, specialized expertise in Natural Language Processing and Speech Technologies. We are looking for a CTO with a proven track record in scaling engineering organizations, delivering AI-driven products, and aligning technical strategy with business outcomes. Your Responsibilities:

Define and evolve the technology vision and architecture of the platform, aligned with product and business goalsLead and grow a high-performing, globally distributed engineering teamDrive hands-on technical leadership when necessary (architecture reviews, problem-solving, decision making)Collaborate closely with Product, ML and Client Delivery teamsMust-Haves:

10+ years in engineering leadership roles, including as a CTO, VP of Engineering in high-scale environmentsProven track record in fast-paced startups, ideally in B2B or SaaS AI/ML domains, with a strong understanding of the US and European markets Strong hands-on background in Python, with deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and MLOpsProven ability to lead cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and attract top talentExperience working with modern ML architecturesExpertise with cloud-native architecture (Kubernetes, Helm, AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)Excellent communication skills, fluent or native English (C1/C2), with experience collaborating across global teams and a requirement to be located in the UK / EuropeExperience collaborating with stakeholders and translating business needs into scalable technologyAbility to operate at both strategic and tactical levels
