Job Description

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)Location: General Administration – MukallaDepartment: FinanceReports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)Role ObjectiveEnsure optimal utilization of the organization’s financial resources, maximize returns, manage expenses, and support viable projects. Maintain liquidity and monetary stability across all operations through effective coordination with Treasury. Provide accurate financial information to support management decision-making. Monitor budgets, enforce accounting policies, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including tax, social insurance, and other statutory bodies. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and oversee the annual budget; monitor variances and ensure compliance. Develop financial policies and supervise all finance operations across departments and branches.

Oversee liquidity management, cash planning, and risk management in coordination with Treasury. Ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with local regulations and industry standards. Identify and resolve financial issues, provide recommendations, and implement corrective actions. Supervise asset management, inventories, account reconciliations, tax/Zakat planning, and payroll oversight. Lead implementation of automated financial systems and ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and control. Manage accounts receivable/payable, reconciliations, and documentation for internal and external audits. Prepare periodic and annual financial reports for senior management. Develop and mentor finance staff; maintain confidentiality of financial data. Internal & External RelationshipsInternal:

Head of Accounts, Financial Planning, Financial Control, Financial Analysis Officer, Reconciliation AccountantExternal: External auditors, regulators, tax/Zakat authorities, counterpartiesQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting; advanced degrees preferred. Minimum 15 years in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Professional certifications (CMA, CPA, CIA) preferred. Skills & CompetenciesStrong financial management, analysis, and regulatory knowledge. Budgeting, reporting, leadership, decision-making, and team-building skills. Proficiency in accounting software and report writing. Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
