Responsible for sales growth and business development activities with distribution partners and OEMs. Provide technical, application, product, and sales support for the assembly tool portfolio in support of end user growth. Implement plans to grow overall sales revenue and market share within the region. Candidate must be knowledgeable of technical products, services, and solutions. You will establish yourself as the significant point of contact for each assigned distributor including business owners, sales teams and service leaders.ResponsibilitiesManage Assembly distribution network to meet or achieve sales growth targets.Cultivate product sales at end-users via relationship development & demonstrations.Analyze target account requirements and develop penetration plans to increase market share.Provide timely submission of reporting tools, inclusive of CRM data/pipeline management, forecasts, and project visibility.Coordinate with marketing or other business unit resources as necessary.Responsible for the measurement of distributor performance and implementing distributor performance improvement programs.Actively conduct, seek out, and participate in both formal and informal training opportunitiesAll other duties assigned by management.RequirementsTechnical Bachelor’s Degree 3+ years sales experience, working for a manufacturer or distributor.Core CompetenciesDrives Results – consistently achieving results leveraging the team even under tough circumstancesCommunicates effectively – develop and deliver communications that are clear, including constructive feedbackCustomer focus – build relationships and deliver customer centric solutions to meetexpectations and maintain customer relationshipAction oriented – take new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high sense of enthusiasmInterpersonal Savvy – builds rapport, relating openly and comfortably with diverse groups of peopleBeing resilient – maintains a positive attitude despite setbacks and adversity when facing difficult situations.PreferencesTechnical Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Work ExperienceTechnical expertise with Software, programming and assembly manufacturingProficient in Microsoft Office computer applications required.Ability to understand and communicate in technical mattersUnderstanding of air and electric powered power tools used in industrial settings, competitors and applications preferredKnowledge of multi-channel distribution functions and end user selling experience preferredTravel & Work Arrangements/RequirementsThis is a remote based position in the Southeast territory - GA, MS, AL, TNMust reside in territory - GA, MS, AL, TNIdeal locations are Atlanta, GA or Birmingham, ALAbility to travel 50-60% of timeWhat we OfferAt Ingersoll Rand, we embrace a culture of personal ownership — taking responsibility for our company, our communities, and our environment, as well as our individual health and well-being.
