We are currently seeking an experienced Arts Teacher to join our team on a Fixed Term contract basis. Position: Arts TeacherDepartment: ArtsSubject: Graphic Arts and DesignEducation Stage: High/Secondary SchoolCurriculum: IB DPSkills And Qualifications Minimum Bachelor Degree in relevant field Professional teaching qualification e. g.

PGCE At least 3 years of teaching experience in Graphic Arts and Design or related subjects Familiarity with the IB DP curriculum preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to inspire creativity and critical thinking among students At least 3 years IBDP IB Visual Arts and/or A-Level Art teaching experience Experience teaching TOK would be an added advantageResponsibilities Teach Art to students from diverse backgrounds, aged 12-20 Teach Art across the three Phases of the school:

Lower Forms, IGCSE and IBDP Work with colleagues in the Creative Arts to continually improve and align pedagogical approaches Have a wide range of creative skills that can be taught, as well as a flexible mindset of producing optimal outcomes with limited resources Organisational skills to set-up and facilitate projects effectively, maintain a well-ordered art centre and showcase exceptional exhibitions Develop and maintain an organised teaching curriculum in the classroom and on the digital teaching platform Contribute to student growth outside the classroom by supervising a community service activity, club and/or an extra-curricular activity Serve as Tutor to 12 students Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people at the CollegeValues And Attitudes Passion for education and commitment to student development Cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity Collaborative mindset with a willingness to engage in professional development opportunitiesIf you meet the above criteria, possess the required qualifications, experience, skills, values, attitudes, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity at International School Waterford Kamhlaba UWC of Southern Africa.
